Two Specialties Under One Roof: Vascular Surgery and Phlebology

Vascular disease and venous disease are often treated as separate fields, requiring separate specialists and separate visits. Dr. Malay Patel’s practice covers both directly.

Arterial and Venous Disease, Evaluated Together

Patients with both artery and vein concerns, not uncommon, since risk factors like diabetes and smoking affect both are evaluated under one practice rather than needing separate specialists for each.

Endovascular and Open Surgical Training

Practicing across catheter-based procedures and open surgery since 1991 means the treatment approach is chosen based on individual anatomy, not limited to whichever technique is available.

Minor Surgeries

Safe and precise procedures including cyst excision, lipoma removal, mole removal, wart excision, and more performed with attention to both medical and cosmetic outcomes.

Advanced Wound Care

Management of complex wounds including vacuum dressing, collagen dressing, burn care, and non-healing ulcers with a focus on faster recovery and reduced complications.

Healthy circulation is essential for every organ and every stage of life. Whether you're dealing with varicose veins, blocked arteries, diabetic foot complications, or complex vascular conditions, Dr. Malay Patel offers comprehensive diagnosis and evidence-based treatment backed by more than three decades of dedicated vascular practice. From minimally invasive endovascular procedures to advanced vascular surgery, every treatment is tailored to restore blood flow, relieve symptoms, and improve long-term vascular health.

Our Process

Clear Evaluation. Personalised Planning. Precision Treatment.

1. Consult

Your care begins with a detailed consultation where symptoms, medical history, and previous reports are carefully reviewed. Advanced imaging and clinical evaluation help identify the exact cause of the condition and determine whether an interventional approach is suitable.

2. Plan

Based on the diagnosis, a personalised treatment plan is created using evidence-based guidelines and imaging findings. The procedure, benefits, recovery expectations, and possible risks are clearly explained, ensuring informed and confident decision-making.

3. Treat

The planned intervention is performed using minimally invasive, image-guided techniques focused on precision and safety. Most procedures require only a small puncture, allowing faster recovery, minimal discomfort, and a smooth return to daily activities.

Why Patients Choose Trusted Expertise in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery

01. Findings-Led Treatment Decisions

Treatment is based on ultrasound and imaging findings specific to each patient, not on the visible appearance of a condition or a default protocol applied to everyone with the same diagnosis.

02. Minimally Invasive First, Surgery When It's the Better Choice

Minimally invasive options are used wherever the anatomy supports them, with surgical alternatives available and explained directly when they're the more appropriate or durable choice for a specific case.

03. Honest Guidance on Monitoring vs. Treatment

Where a condition can reasonably be monitored rather than treated immediately, this is communicated clearly, with a structured follow-up plan rather than an open-ended "wait and see."

04. Direct Explanation of Every Recommendation

Every treatment recommendation is walked through against your specific findings, so you understand the reasoning behind it rather than being asked to accept it on trust.

Trusted by Generations of Patients

The trust of our patients reflects our dedication to expert vascular care, personalized treatment, and long-term health. Read their experiences in their own words.

Answers to Your Most Common Questions

The practice covers the full range of vascular and venous conditions – varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, peripheral artery disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, diabetic foot wounds, venous ulcers, vascular malformations, Buerger’s disease, and vascular access surgery for dialysis.

For urgent presentations such as sudden leg swelling, sudden weakness or vision changes, or a rapidly worsening wound, please call ahead to arrange prompt evaluation, or go to the nearest emergency department if you have chest pain, breathlessness, or ongoing neurological symptoms.

Most conditions are diagnosed with duplex ultrasound, which shows blood flow directly without radiation. Some conditions, such as aortic aneurysms or complex artery blockages, require CT or MR angiography for detailed planning.

This depends entirely on your specific condition and findings. Many vascular and venous conditions today are managed with minimally invasive procedures or medication rather than open surgery. This is assessed and explained specifically for your case.

Any previous scan reports or blood tests relevant to your condition, a list of current medications, and clothing that allows the affected area to be examined comfortably.
