ONCE UPON A TIME, A MAN FELL INTO A WELL. A passerby felt sympathy for him and lowered a rope so that he could grab hold and climb out.
But, instead of grabbing that rope and climbing out, the guy in the well started asking questions...
"Why did I fall into this well?"
"Has anyone else fallen into this well before?"
"What is the rope made out of?"
"How long is the rope on the other end?"
He went on asking questions.
The fellow who was trying to help him climb out of the well said, "Well, why don't you simply grab hold of the rope and climb out? Then you can ask all the questions you wish."
But the guy in the well was not very smart. He kept asking questions.
Eventually, the fellow who was holding the rope got tired.
When the guy in the well asked another question, "How many people will fit into this well?," the fellow left the rope and said, "Many fools like you will fit into this well."
MORAL: Do what the capable helper asks you to do. Once you grab the rope and come out of your predicament, you can ask all your questions.
